From Mrs. Fuehne: Robotics ended their season in 7th place out of 13. They did well and they had a great time! Mr. AuBuchon and Mrs. Fuehne said they are blessed to be their coaches! Another great thing happened, Robotics received a $500 Proctor and Gamble Robotics Scholarship at our Southeast Missouri League Tournament!

Cape Central High School Swim and Dive Student Athlete Tommy-Anne Marriott signed her Letter of Intent to compete at Ball State University!

The Cape Tiger Scholar Bowl team took 4th place Saturday at the Poplar Bluff Tournament. The team took 4th place out of 10 teams. Dulina Dias took 6th place over all in the tournament.

CHS Beta Club member Annaliese Reinier organized a bell ringing event from 10am-8pm on Saturday, raising the most of any kettle so far this year for the local Salvation Army! Way to go Tiger Betas!

JROTC cadets volunteered their time and effort to a worthy cause in supporting the annual Marine Corps Toys-4-Tots campaign collecting toys and donations for regional families during the holiday season. Cadets worked with the Student Senate on the CHS Toy Drive collecting nearly 150 toys to donate. On Wed and Thurs nights, cadets worked alongside the Marine Corps League to collect toys and money outside of Schnucks. And then again on Saturday, cadets worked from 9am-5pm organizing, sorting, and preparing toys for distribution to local families. In all, 30 cadets supported the effort and volunteered over 170 hours of time to help the community.

Mrs. Taylor's College Readiness Class welcomed speakers two different days last week. Dr. Bruce Skinner, Associate Vice President of Student Life at SEMO spoke on the realities of college life and gave advice on being successful. Officer Angle, Resource Officer at CHS spoke on tips to stay safe on college campuses. They both shared lots of useful advice.
